You Can Pull A Person Out Of A Burning Building. You Can Pull A Person Out Of A Raging River. You Can Pull A Person Out Of Anything,

"You Can Pull A Person Out Of A Burning Building.
You Can Pull A Person Out Of A Raging River.
You Can Pull A Person Out Of Anything,
If You're Strong Enough." - David Julio Wang

This saying is a direct reaction to popular beliefs such as,
"The only person who can help you is you."
and,
"Nobody can help you unless you help yourself first."
and,
"The only person you can ever really count on is : yourself."

Human beings are a gregarious animal, a social animal,
we absolutely, fundamentally, essentially need one another for mutual survival and
, perhaps even more important, a sense of purpose in existence.

We are both individual and part of a human whole at exactly the same time.

We can pull ourselves out of difficulties,
and,
We can pull others out of difficulties.

Both are as true,
Both are as right,
as the sun rising in the sky,
and the waves moving across the sea.
